A brand new fast food noodle bar has opened in the city centre and people are already raving about it. Chopstix Noodle Bar has opened in New George Street and many customers say they can't wait to go back for more.
The fastfood chain officially opened on Monday, May 29 in the former Thorstons Cafe unit. Chopstix owners Sam Elia and Menashe Sadik launched their first business together in Camden High Street in London selling fish and chips, pizza, kebabs and falafels. They soon added Chinese food to their offer and in 2002 opened their first Chopstix location. Since then they have created a Chopstix empire and have restaurants up and down the country.
Earlier this year the Pan-Asian food chain announced its intentions to open in the city centre and at the end of May, officially threw open its doors to welcome its first customers. And people are already loving it. The store includes the brand's iconic ‘living wall’ and neons along with the now famous decor reflecting the quirky and fun ethos of the Chopstix brand.
Customers will be able to delight in a host of Pan-Asian flavours including their newest dish, the limited edition Zesty Lemon Chicken, set to be a summer favourite, their bestselling Salt ‘N’ Pepper Chicken, as well as Chopstix favourites including Chicken Katsu Curry and the signature Caramel Drizzle Chicken. Those looking for lighter fare are in luck with the option of ‘Skinny Cauliflower Rice’, teamed with any topping in a small box, the whole menu comes in at under 500 calories.
Rob Burns, marketing director for Chopstix, said at the time: "We are thrilled to announce our opening in sunny Plymouth! This is our second Devon store opening and we are excited to finally open our doors in time for summer. We’re so looking forward to meeting the people of Plymouth and being a part of the community for many years to come."
Leaving reviews on Facebook, some customers have dubbed Chopstix food as "10/10".
